Nestle Toll House cookies have a rich history dating back to 1938 when Ruth Graves Wakefield invented the chocolate chip cookie at the Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts. The cookies quickly gained popularity, and Nestle began producing chocolate chips specifically for use in the recipe.

Limited edition tins like this one were often released to commemorate special occasions or holidays, featuring unique designs and artwork.
